Carly Pearce singing National Anthem at this year's Kentucky Derby
The singer of the National Anthem at this year's Derby has been announced, and she's Kentucky born and raised.
Carly Pearce, 33, is from Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
She just won her first Grammy this year and has earned multiple CMT Music Awards and CMA Awards.
The "Never Wanted to Be That Girl" singer will perform the song just after 5 p.m. on May 6 as part of national coverage of the race at historic Churchill Downs in Louisville.

Pearce said, "Being from Kentucky, this is a major bucket list item moment for me."
And it looks like she already has her hat.

Pearce will join a long list of big stars to sing at the Kentucky Derby, like Lady A, Martina McBride, Mary J. Blige and Rascal Flatts.
It was also announced Tuesday that Rachel Platten will sing the "Star-Spangled Banner" the day before on Kentucky Oaks day and sing her hit "Fight Song" during the Survivor's Parade.
