Cold case rape of 17-year-old girl in Louisville solved nearly 2 decades later
A cold case rape out of Louisville has been solved nearly 20 years later.
Authorities announced 47-year-old Robrico English has been charged in connection to the rape of a 17-year-old girl in 2005.
Kentucky State Police and Louisville Metro Police Department made the announcement on Thursday.
They said on Jan. 11, 2005, a teen girl reported being kidnapped at gunpoint and raped.
DNA evidence from the victim맥스카지노s sexual assault kit, also known as a rape kit, was entered into the Combined DNA Index System, but no match was found.
But authorities said they were able to do more testing recently through grant funding received by the U.S. Department of Justice, and Robrico was a match.
