Joey just said it was broke down."2) Why was he and Joey at the farm on Thompson Hill Rd? Lawson: They were good friends with the family that owned it... given permission to go there and drink whenever.3) How my guy did Steve drink at the farm? And would that have kept him from driving? We know she's presumed dead. Do you know where her body is? Did Brooks ask you to kill her? Did you facilitate the murder of Crystal? When you dropped Joey off and picked him up, did that give Houck the opportunity to kill Crystal?"He answered, "No sir" for all of the questions.Day 3 - THURSDAY, MAY 292:42 p.m. ET | Court has adjourned for the day and will resume tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. CT. He further testified about Steve Lawson's cell phone data showing his location along the BG Parkway in the early morning hours of July 4, specifically at MM 14, where Rogers car was.He also talked about a four-hour period of unaccounted for time where Lawson was on Thompson Hill Rd., a property authorities have searched before. Some of those calls/texts were deleted off Steve맥스카지노s phone when seized by police. The day ended with the jury hearing Lawson맥스카지노s previous grand jury testimony where he told them he called Houck and said, 맥스카지노the job is done.맥스카지노3 p.m. ET | The 7th witness in the trial is Tim O'Daniel with the LMPD Digital Forensics Unit.1 p.m. ET | Charlie Girdly was the final witness before break. This information did not come out until Charlie was arrested in 2023 and talked to KSP.Noon ET | It got really heated in the courtroom, mainly defense yelling, frustrated at the last two witnesses who testified, Elizabeth Chesser (mother of Joseph Lawson's child) and Stacie Crammer (worked for Houck).Chesser double downed that Steve admitted to her that he committed murder, but she admits she did not put two and two together that it was Crystal until well after. Other statements she said he made were, "No evidence, no case," which she took as there was not a body.Defense cross examined, really pressing on her drug use during that time, a tactic they also used on Lauren Hardin Bell, Lawson's stepdaughter. But Darren Wolff, defense attorney, practically blew up when Chesser admitted that she talked to Sherry Ballard, Crystal맥스카지노s mother, after her testimony during one of the breaks. She said Sherry thanked her, and she responded, "I hope this brings you peace, but I don't know if it will."Wolff used that to try and say that she was only testifying because of her loyalty to Sherry. Chesser said no, it's just the right thing to do. The next witness is Stacie Crammer. She worked on Brooks' houses. She said one day, she saw him and Steve Lawson riding around in Brooks' truck. She thought it was odd because he didn't ride with employees. She said Steve made comments to her that he had to, "take care of something, take care of this girl that was on meth."Crammer called and went in person to the sheriff's office to report the statement.10:40 a.m. ET | So far, at least four people have testified on Wednesday, and one dropped a bomb right before the first court break. The lead detective was back on the stand continuing his testimony. The detective says they were on authorities' radar as being involved in Rogers death/disappearance.Det. Jamie Brooks, who assisted the lead detective by extracting data from Lawson's phone, also testified.Lauren Hardin Bell, Lawson's stepdaughter, took the stand, too. Lawson claimed the 13-second phone call to Brooks after midnight on July 4 was ask about renting Lauren an apartment. She testified that that is unusual because she was in the process of being evicted from a property owned by Houck and managed by Crystal. She said she had both their numbers and could have called them herself. The defense called into question her recollection because she was on drugs back then.Elizabeth Chesser, the mother of Joseph Lawson's baby, dropped a bomb before the break. She started to explain why Steve Lawson was planning to leave his ex-wife: "He was leaving Tammy because she knew he committed murder."For context, Tammy has since died.
