Docs: Shots fired in downtown New Albany was part of murder-for-hire plot
Three men are facing charges in connection to shots fired in downtown New Albany, and according to court documents, they were part of a murder-for-hire plot.
Shots were fired toward a business on Bank Street earlier this month, causing chaos in a busy area.
Police said it happened May 13 around 11 a.m. on Bank Street. A number of shots were fired from a parked SUV toward Underground Station.
A black SUV fled the scene, and police began looking for who was involved.
Now, three men are charged: Aaron Brown, Joseph Flesia and Cody Vest.
Court documents say Flesia hired Brown to kill two people for $5,000, and allegedly gave him the weapons to do it. Vest is accused of helping modify the vehicle to help cover up the crime.
All were also found in possession of drugs.
