Dustin Hoffman stars in latest movie to wrap in Louisville, 'The Revisionist'
Once again, Louisville will be the backdrop to a feature film with some big name stars.
The latest film to wrap up we just learned is called "The Revisionist" starring award-winning actor Dustin Hoffman.
Hoffman is known for many major films, one of his most iconic being "Rain Man," which also was shot in Kentucky.
The rest of the cast includes Alison Brie, known for her roles in "Community," "Glow," "Mad Men" and more. André Holland starred in the Academy Award-winning movie "Moonlight."
So, what is the movie about? Here's how it was described in :
"In The Revisionist, Elise, a successful novelist, does what so many writers do: she manipulates and transforms the people in her life into the characters she needs for her story. As she blurs the line between fiction and reality, her world descends into secrets, lies, and outright betrayal. The project is an exploration of the psychological lengths to which a writer will go to achieve their art."
This movie is the directorial debut for Alex Vlack, who also wrote it, Deadline reports.
Some of the filming has been seen around town. Hoffman was spotted outside of Carmichael's Bookstore on Frankfort Avenue.
On Wednesday, Mayor Craig Greenberg posted about meeting him:
