A woman was found dead on Interstate 64 in Shelby County Friday night.The Shelby County Coroner's Office said Shelby County Dispatch got several calls around 9:41 p.m. of a body lying on I-64 at the mile marker 26.4.The photo above shows where police closed off a portion of the interstate.When Shelby County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, they found a woman dead in the roadway.She was later identified as 24-year-old Brianna Perry of Lexington, Kentucky.Currently, the incident is being considered a death investigation.Shelby County Sheriff's Department is investigating along with the coroner's office.Authorities did not give details at this time on how she died or if a vehicle was involved.
