Indiana officials confirm first case of coronavirus in the state
Indiana state health officials have confirmed the first case of the novel coronavirus in the state.

At this point, health officials say they feel very confident that the situation was handled in a way that will prevent it from spreading.
Officials said the patient is an adult from Marion County, about 120 miles from Louisville. The man apparently traveled to Boston recently and attended an event where other people also tested positive.
The man called the hospital Thursday night, according to officials, to warn them about the symptoms he was having.
He also told them he had possibly been exposed to COVID-19.
When he arrived at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, trained hospital employees met him in the parking lot.
Wearing protective gear, they escorted him through a separate entrance and a special area.
The patient is now in isolation for at least 14 days. He won't be released until he tests negative for two consecutive days, officials said.
"The patient and hospital did everything possible to limit exposure," Indiana State Health Commissioner Kristina Box said.
