Jamarcus Glover, central to investigation that led to Breonna Taylor's death, arrested
A central figure in the narcotics investigation that led up to the death of 26-year-old Breonna Taylor has been arrested.
Jamarcus Glover was booked Thursday on a multitude of charges, including three related to possessing cocaine, heroin and marijuana, according to court documents from the Jefferson County Circuit Court.
Glover is also accused of tampering with physical evidence and being a fugitive.
He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Court documents released this week indicate that Glover was arrested on warrants issued at the end of July after his bond was raised to $50,000 in an investigation that dates back to 2019 and he failed to post the amount due.
Glover was also arrested around the time of Taylor's death.
His arrest citation from that investigation was dated 2:43 p.m. March 13, several hours after Taylor was killed, but Taylor's family and attorneys have said they believe he was in custody before the raid.
Officers said they had been surveying Glover since January. They stated in the warrant they saw Glover pick up a package from Taylor's apartment and suspected he may have been stashing drugs or money there.
Neither were found at Taylor's home.
Attorneys for her family say the two had once dated, but were not in a relationship at the time of the raid. Taylor was then in a relationship with Kenny Walker, who was there that night and fired one shot at police when they broke into the home.
