Louisville Cardinals renewing rivalry with Cincinnati Bearcats in neutral site series
The University of Louisville is renewing an old basketball rivalry.
CBS Sports맥스카지노 Jon Rothstein reports that the Louisville Cardinals will be playing the Cincinnati Bearcats in a two-year neutral site series.
The Cards will play the Bearcats in downtown Cincinnati맥스카지노s Heritage Bank Center in the upcoming season.
The Bearcats will then make the trip to Louisville in 2026 to play at Freedom Hall.
The two teams last met in the 2022 Maui Invitational Tournament when Kenny Payne was the Cards맥스카지노 head coach. Cincinnati won that meeting 81-62.
Before that, the last time the two historic rivals met was in the 2013-14 season when both teams were in the American Athletic Conference.
Louisville left to join the Atlantic Coast Conference the next season.
The schools have shared other conferences in the past as well. The rivalry has stretched over the Missouri Valley Conference, Metro Conference, Conference USA and the Big East Conference.
Louisville leads the rivalry all-time 53-44.
