Louisville doctor facing 30 charges related to child porn
A doctor has been arrested in Louisville and charged with 20 counts of possessing matter showing sex with a minor.
Louisville Metro Police arrested 35-year-old Dr. Bradford Marsili, of Baltimore, Friday morning at Jewish Hospital on Abraham Flexner Way, where he worked.
He is charged with 20 counts of possessing matter with a sex performance by a minor between 12 and 18 years of age.
He is also charged with 10 counts of distribution of obscene matter, for a total of 30 charges.
Marsili is a University of Louisville employee and was immediately placed on leave Friday when the university was notified of the charges, said a UofL spokesperson.
UofL did not confirm his position, but the UofL Health website said he was an anesthesiologist. That information has since been deleted.
"The university is fully cooperating with law enforcement in this matter," said the spokesperson.
Court documents say Marsili had matter in his possession that "visually depicted an actual sexual performance by a minor."
Police said a cybertip resulted in a search and seizure of 68 images/videos depicting sexual performance by a minor.
Marsili was arraigned in court Saturday morning.
His bond was set at $75,000.
He is on home incarceration and is to have no contact with the victim, no other violations, no contact with minors, no social media, and no internet.
His next court appearance is set for May 13 at 9 a.m.
