Kentucky football player J.J. Weaver getting his shot in the NFL
An undrafted University of Kentucky Wildcat and Louisville native is getting his shot in the National Football League.
J.J. Weaver, an outside linebacker for the Cats, has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Weaver joined Kentucky as a freshman in 2019, choosing Kentucky over Louisville, Miami, and Purdue.
He was a five-year letter winner and three-time team captain, one of just three in UK맥스카지노s history, joining Josh Paschal and DeAndre Square.
Weaver becomes the sixth Wildcat acquired by an NFL club as an undrafted free agent. He joins:

Weaver had 39 starts in his career at UK, including 29 straight in games played.
His career numbers included 197 tackles, including 39.5 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, two interceptions, six fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick.
Weaver ended his UK football career ranking third in school history with 39.5 career tackles for loss.
Kentucky Athletics website says Weaver won several awards and honors throughout his Wildcat career for his good works in the community, specifically with children's grieving.
