A former Oldham County police captain is being tasked with ensuring visitors can safely enjoy Louisville's parks.James Brown was named the Chief Park Ranger.The ranger program was disbanded into the 1970s.Mayor Craig Greenberg selected Brown to build the program and enforce park-related laws and ordinances.Brown has 20 years of law enforcement experience.While with the Oldham County Police Department, Brown oversaw fleet operations and information technology.
