A former University of Louisville basketball star is partnering with a four-legged hometown hero for a special project.Russ Smith, who owns Mr. and Mrs. Bourbon company, has partnered with Ethan the dog for a limited edition of single barrel bourbon featuring "Ethan Almighty."Ethan was found abandoned at the Kentucky Humane Society in 2021."This has been in the works for over six months. We met Ethan at one of our bottle signings, heard his story and instantly fell in love with his cause," Smith said in a news release.The bottle will be released on Jan. 26 at Patrick O'Shea's on Whiskey Row.All of the proceeds from the bottle will go directly to Ethan and the work he does in the community.Those interested in a bottle are encouraged to reserve one online here.
