Polls are open in a southern Indiana community for a special election on property taxes.Silver Creek residents are voting on a tax increase proposed by the Silver Creek School Corporation.The proposal would raise property taxes by 44% for homeowners and 32% for businesses.The goal for the increased funding would be to expand one school and build another.
