The Ville first TBT team to secure home court advantage for entire tournament
Louisville's alumni team in The Basketball Tournament, The Ville, is the first team to secure home court advantage for the entire event this summer.
TBT introduced a new incentive for teams this year, which was if they sold 4,000 tickets, they would secure home court advantage for as long as they're in the tournament.
The Ville was the first team to do that, which means if they make it to the championship, it will be played at Freedom Hall.
This is the third consecutive year The Ville will play in the winner-takes-all tournament.
The Ville was knocked out of last year's tournament by Kentucky's alumni team, La Familia, in the quarterfinals.
Players on this year's roster include former UofL stars Russ Smith and Montrezl Harrell, along with Louisville natives Jay Scrubb and David Johnson.
The Ville will open up regional play on July 19 at Freedom Hall.
Opponents and game times have not been announced yet.
