A special therapy dog is helping kids at one elementary school in Lake Placid, New York, cope with stressful days at school.Ries - short for Riesling - is a 5-year-old goldendoodle who belongs to the school's principal, Sonja Franklin. Franklin says she originally brought Ries in as part of a behavior improvement program for one student. She soon discovered that Ries was an expert at improving the mood of everyone around her, from students to school staff. So once Ries was certified, she became the school's official therapy dog. Now, Ries' responsibilities include lowering the stress level of students, boosting their confidence and providing them with love and support.Watch the video above to see Ries in action at her job.
