VIDEO: Kentucky family shares story of survival in tornado when house fell around them
A family in Laurel County, Kentucky who survived the tornado that hit there said their house came down around them.
The family's mother shared their story with , saying her daughter got scared and they went to the hallway of their house for safety.
"My husband came running in, and we pretty much jumped on top of her (daughter) because you could feel the air sucking, and it sounded like a train," she said.
She said they could see things falling, and the next thing she knew, her husband said their house was gone.
Fortunately, the family wasn't hurt. They looked for shoes and any car keys they could find.
They only found one set, and even though their vehicle was virtually destroyed, it still started.
So, they said they were taking it and making their way to her mother's house to stay in their basement.
