'Big goofball': Ethan heads to forever home with road to recovery now complete
Ethan the dog has captured the hearts of people near and far. Now he has a forever home.
비바카지노 Viva was lucky enough to meet Ethan in person on Friday, and he was just as great as you'd imagine.
Ethan was found near-dead in the Kentucky Humane Society parking lot in January.
While recovering, he's been temporarily living with KHS facilities director Jeff Callaway. That living situation is becoming permanent next Wednesday. (Note: The date was changed from Thursday.)
"There was just something about him and his story when he got dropped off that just touched me," said Callaway. "I wanted to be sure I could do anything I could for him."
Callaway said Ethan now weighs 84 pounds and his veterinarians have cleared him medically.
Despite what he's been through, Callaway said Ethan loves people and animals.
"To be starved like he was, you know, he didn't have any food or water for and he was obviously in a kennel where he couldn't get up and move around," said Callaway. "He has no food aggression, he has no dog aggression, has no people aggression. He's just a lovable, laid back, very sweet personality."
Callaway hopes Ethan's story inspires people to donate, foster and adopt.
"Now, his story, I hope, in my mind turns to awareness for all the other shelter animals that are out there, whether it's at KHS or a local shelter, anything like that, bring awareness to the animals out there that need to be adopted and need homes," said Callaway.
