In this paper, I study a shaping aspects of the buddhist priests who are characters in the traditional puppet performance. The purpose of this study are how are exposed viewpoints of the buddhist priests, and what are the reason of that viewpoints. That purpose of this study imply an intention which try to find a different possibility of the viewpoint which is ¡®criticism of ideal false of the buddhism or the buddhist priests¡¯.
For the above purpose, I study shaping aspects of the buddhist priests who are classified as a Pageseng(an apostate monk), a Sudoseng(a spiritual exercise monk), a Sijuseng(an offering monk). And I put those aspects together according to a variant text. As a result, it arise aspects which is unfocused on the subject which is ¡®criticism of ideal false of the Buddhism or the buddhist priests¡¯. It is exposed that the traditional puppet performance don¡¯t have logical coherence of the Buddhism and the buddhist priests. Hence, I bring up a different interpretation to a logical coherence. It is that put a specific object into shape according to the standpoint as ¡®likes / dislikes¡¯ or ¡®positive / negative¡¯. That can be called emotional coherence or pathos coherence.
After all, the traditional puppet performance texts can be divided into two aspects. One texts affirm and take care emotionally the Buddhism and the buddhist priests, the other texts rejcet and negative the Buddhism and the buddhist priests. In conclusion, emotional logic of a shaping aspects of the buddhist priests can be ¡®positive / negative¡¯ or ¡®consideration / exclusion¡¯. Emotional code a shaping aspects of the buddhist priests can be systematized ¡®likes / dislikes¡¯, ¡®positive / negative¡¯, ¡®consideration / exclusion¡¯ in the traditional puppet performance.
