The fortunes of certain areas and a family often depends on the activities of the special characters, such as an educator and scholar, or politician or religion, etc. Such trends are more evident in the 17th century Joseon society. Such as one of the typical example, Byeokjin-Lee(��������) family in Mil-yang[���] area is one of the most appropriate cases. Cheong-Ong( ��) Li-MyeonGi(������) was one of the prominent Confucian scholars in the Mil-yang area of early 17th century Joseon-Dynasty. He inherited learning from his father and his uncles, and he has passed twice in the civil service examination. However, the Joseon dynasty was never appointed him as a bureaucrat. That's because of factional fighting that was so have severe in the end of the 17th century of the Joseon Dynasty. As like his father and his uncles, he belong to a Party of South[����], and the party was then excluded in the core of political power of King Sukjong's royal court[�C�ڳ�]. During most of his life, he has devoted himself to education and the construction of local school in his hometown. In this paper, I explained a summary for his life, and I offered here a list of his works that I founded out some of his works that had been missing and forgotten in his collection of works. And I pointed out some particular points of his poems which appeals to the imagination. In conclusion, my assessment for the literary achievements of his poems is as follows. His poems had been depicted the rural life very comfortably with very plain and easy words. His poetry is well described the delicate moral sensibilities that include the love between parent and child, and the friendship between brother and brothers. I think that was one of the way of self-expression, that had been frustrated by the intense political parties conflict reflection of An excuse for passing certificatewhich lasted in his lifetime.
