A practical method of estimating inelastic deflection of reinforced ∞ncrete slab under service load
is presented. Ba?d on the elastic results of linear finite element analy?s and area of reinforcement.
inelastic deflection multiplier (β) is evaluated and desir<? deflection as a measure of serviceability of
the design? slab is obtain?. Example for the corner supported slab shows that the results from the
proφ?d method agree well with tho? from the experiment/and nonlinear finite element an?ysis.
Application of the method to the design of irreg?ar slab is also considered.????
