    The purpose of this study was to analyze the relations among young children's play characteristics, peer competence, and self-esteem.
    The subjects were 232 children in K city. In collecting the data, The Young Children's Play Scale was used to assess children's play characteristics; the Peer Competence Scale was used to assess children's peer competence; and the Self-Esteem Assessment for Young Children was used to assess children's self-esteem.
    Pearson r was used to analyze the relations among young children's play characteristics, peer competence, and self-esteem.
    The results of this study reveal that young children's play characteristics are positively related to peer competence, and self-esteem.
