This study aimed to analyze some major research trends regarding extracurricular programs and to suggest some directions for future studies on this topic. Therefore, 129 articles published over the last 10 years (2010-2019) were collected from RISS analyzed. From these, 284 keywords were gathered and analyzed in order to frequencies, co-occurrences, centrality degrees, and subgroups. In the year-based analysis, we discovered that the number of articles has increased continuously since 2010. An analysis of keyword frequency suggested that most studies regarding extracurricular programs have been developed mainly with a focus on human competences and liberal arts education. In the case of factors ¡°English,¡± ¡°writing,¡± and ¡°personality,¡± the influences on the knowledge network were not powerful, and the related studies may not be conducted actively in the future. On the other hand, studies related to ¡°liberal arts education,¡± ¡°reading,¡± and ¡°curriculum¡± are expected to be conducted more proactively .
