The purpose of this study is to examine the profound politico-philosophical implications of the holistic new paradigm represented by the quantum mechanical worldview and its practical application. First, we will take a glance at the changes of scientific methodology, which is an epistemological framework to understand the world, and then examine the nature and characteristics of the new paradigm, its politico-philosophical implications, and the limitations of practical application, and further explore the ways to overcome the limitations from the perspective of Donghak.
The politico-philosophical implications of the new paradigm can be seen in two major aspects: the great transition to life politics and life culture, and the great historical transition of civilization to the era of consilience. Only by the politics of the new paradigm based on the holistic nature of life can biopolitical division be overcome and a great transition to true life politics and life culture be made possible. Without understanding the fact that life is not just an individualized material life, but a spirituality based on nonseparability and nonduality, true insight into the era of great consilience cannot arise.
The limitation of the practical application of the new paradigm comes from the failure to see the mechanism of consilience and thus to gain insight into the oneness of life, the essence of the universe. The new paradigm is essentially nonseparable and nondual, so it is difficult to apply it in practice if our worldview, way of thinking and value system fail to live up to it. The triad structure of the Donghak ��Si�� allows us to overcome the limitations of practical application of the new paradigm by perceiving the mechanism of consilience, thereby revealing that all things are the manifestation of Oneness and unfolding practical thoughts on the oneness of life.
