    This paper analyzed various errors that occur when Korean learners use the modern Chinese auxiliary verb ¡®ÄÜ š. According to the analysis results of this paper, the characteristics and causes of occurrence according to the error type of ¡®ÄÜ š can be summarized into three categories as follows.
    First, it was found that addition errors were mainly caused by negative interference in the mother tongue. In order to improve this error, it is necessary to distinguish the difference between Korean ¡®? ? ??¡¯ and Chinese ¡®ÄÜ š. ¡®? ? ??¡¯ has a wider range of use than ¡®ÄÜ š and fewer restrictions on predicates. Therefore, Korean learners should be aware of these differences.
    Second, substitution errors are mainly the incorrect use of ¡®ÄÜ š where ¡®»á¡¯ should be used. In order to reduce these errors, it is necessary to understand the difference between ¡®»á¡¯ and ¡®ÄÜ š. In the case of ¡®ÄÜ š, the judgment that the speaker makes when making a guess is always about whether the actor can or cannot do the action. In addition, there are different predicate verbs that can be used together with ¡®ÄÜ š and ¡®»á¡¯.
    Third, omission errors were found to occur in three cases, which represent ¡®possibility¡¯, ¡®ability¡¯, and ¡®permission¡¯, depending on the semantic function represented by ¡®ÄÜ š. To reduce this error, it is necessary to present ¡®ÄÜ š in one fixed form used with the conjunction. It should also be emphasized that the actor uses ¡®ÄÜ š to indicate that he has the ability to do something with the will.
