Yao Mulan, the image of women came from “Moment in Peking”, the famous novel written by Lin Yutang. She is the embodiment of the author's ideas about the ideal woman and about the ideal philosophy of life. This article explored the confliction of the image of Mulan by a parallel discussion on Lin and Yao Mulan, which was also found later in Lin himself. However, this contradiction was settled in harmony with his “golden mean” -- philosophy of life. But Yao Mulan, the author's ideal image of women has also shown a non-life authenticity and the men-centered aesthetic in the novel, which reflected Lin's limitations about the concept of women.????
