The Effect of Job Environment and Organizational Trust on Job Engagement, Job Proficiency and Job Performance: For Manufacturing Employees in the A Company

[Purpose] The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of organizational trust and job environment on job engagement, job proficiency and job performance of manufacturing workers.
[Methodology] After closely examining related theories and previous studies, this study proposes seven hypotheses. For this purpose, survey data were collected and analyzed for manufacturing workers of A company in Korea. The reliability and validity of the collected data were examined, and the hypotheses were verified through structural equation model analysis.
[Findings] In this study of manufacturing workers, the effect of organizational trust on job engagement, the effect of job environment on organizational trust, the effect of job engagement on job proficiency and job performance and the effect of job proficiency on job performance were positive.
[Implications] Although the manufacturing environment and the roles of production workers are also greatly changing, there has been a lack of research on manufacturing workers as members of the organization.
In this paper, theoretical and practical implications have been provided by researching manufacturing employees of A company with fast environmental changes.
