A Study on the Correlations between Hotel Employees' Superior Trust, Organizational Trust, Group Cohesiveness, and Organizational Commitment

This study has positively analyzed the effect of hotel employees¡¯ organizational trust on group cohesiveness, the effect of their superior and organizational trust on organizational commitment, and the effect of their group cohesiveness on organizational commitment with reference to advanced researches in order to gain implications for improving hotel management performance in regard of human resources management.
First, it was shown that organizational trust affected group cohesiveness positively. It is thought that for effective organizational management, hoteliers or hotel managers have to consider pay or personnel administration in multilateral aspects so that the organizational management can make employees have trust in them. Second, superior trust influenced organizational commitment positively; thus, the hypothesis was supported. Third, organizational trust had an extremely positive effect upon organizational commitment; therefore, the hypothesis was proved to be true. Hoteliers or hotel managers should do their best to make hotel employees have trust in their superior or organization in private areas as well as parts related with work. Fourth, it was found that group cohesiveness affected organizational commitment fairly positively; thus, the hypothesis was supported. In order to achieve high performance in hotel organizations, hoteliers or hotel managers need to make efforts in various ways so as to help hotel employees exhibit group cohesiveness as strongly as possible.
