In Spinoza's individualism, every individual is a relation of motion and rest between individuals with different natures, that is, a union between them. By this union, the individuals are regarded as parts of the individual they compose, and individuals are individualized by the difference of this union. Thus, the individuality of the individual is the union between its parts. However, how the union of individuals with different natures can be stable is fundamentally problematic. We believe that this problem can be explained through his causal theory. First, since the existence and work of an individual are mutually implicit, individuality can be understood as a result of the difference in the power of each individual. Individuality must therefore be understood through both internal and external causes. However, an individual is always already in a mutually kinetic relationship with individuals of the same level as well as individuals of a different level. Therefore, individuality must be grasped by the stability of this relationship. In conclusion, in Spinoza's philosophy, the individuality of the individual, that is, the stability of the union of parts is elucidated by the reciprocal kinetic relationship with other causes.
