속성경험적 역동심리치료(AEDP) 단일사례 연구: 상담 첫회기에 나타난 내담자 상태변화를 중심으로 (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) Single Case Study: Focusing on Changes in the Client's Condition during the First Counseling Session)

본 연구는 극심한 우울감과 무기력을 호소하는 대학생 내담자를 AEDP 원리를 적용하여 상담한 첫 회기에서 내담자 변화 경험을 탐색하였다. 의도적 표본추출에 따른 단일사례 연구 방법을 적용하여 AEDP 치료 과정의 현상을 가장 잘 나타낸다고 생각되는 사례를 선정하였고, Fosha(2021)가 제시한 ‘AEDP 4가지 상태 변형 과정의 현상학’을 적용했을 때, 내담자 변화 경험이 어떻게 나타나고 있는지 분석하였다. 연구 결과 AEDP 4가지 각 상태에 해당하는 뚜렷한 내담자 변화 경험이 나타났다. 구체적 내용을 살펴보면 상태 1은 ‘과거에서 나오고 싶음’으로 내담자는 마음의 짐을 덜고 싶음, 앞으로 나가고 싶음, 상담자가 함께하고 있음을 경험하였다. 상태 2는 ‘붉은색 뜨거운 분노’로 가슴 통증, 오열, 감정이 압도됨, 가슴속의 뜨겁고 답답한 붉은색 분노, 가해자를 죽이고 싶은 강력한 분노, 후련함의 경험을 나타냈다. 상태 3은 ‘자기 애도왿� 커진 나’로 내담자는 자기연민과 감정적 아픔, 조금 더 커진 나, 머리에서의 냉정하고 이성적인 힘, 가해자에 대한 턱 걸리는 느낌이 해소됨, 가벼워짐의 경험을 보고했다. 마지막 상태 4는 ‘넓은 들판의 시원함과 따듯하게 감싸짐’으로 내담자는 가슴속의 초록색 넓은 들판, 개운하고 시원함, 상담자왿�의 관계로 든든함, 따듯하게 감싸짐의 경험을 보고했다. 본 연구의 의의는 AEDP 기반 상담의 첫 회기에 나타난 내담자 경험에 대한 구술을 통해 내담자 상태 변화 현상을 확인하고 의미를 해석함으로써 AEDP 치료 원리에 대한 이해왿� 적용 가능성을 넓힌 데 있다.

This study explored the client's experience of change during a counseling session applying AEDP principles to a college student who complained of extreme depression and helplessness. By applying a single case study method based on purposive sampling, Researchers selected cases that were thought to best represent the phenomenon of the AEDP treatment stage, and 'phenomena of the AEDP 4-stage state transformation process' according to the treatment stage presented by Yeung(2022). When applied, we analyzed how the client's experience of change appeared. The results of the study revealed distinct client change experiences corresponding to each state transformation process in the AEDP treatment phase. Looking at the specific details, state 1 is ‘wanting to come out of the past’, and the client experienced that he wanted to relieve the burden on his mind, that she wanted to move forward, and that the counselor was with her. State 2 was ‘red hot anger’, which showed chest pain, sobbing, feeling overwhelmed, hot and stuffy red anger in the chest, strong anger that made one want to kill the assailant, and an experience of relief. State 3 was ‘self-mourning and a bigger me’, and the client reported the experience of self-pity and emotional pain, a slightly bigger me, cool and rational strength in the head, the feeling of being held captive by the offender was resolved, and feeling lighter. The final state 4 was ‘the coolness of a wide field and being warmly enveloped,’ and the client reported the experience of a large green field in the heart, refreshing and cool, feeling reassured by the relationship with the counselor, and being warmly enveloped. The significance of this study is to expand the understanding and applicability of AEDP treatment principles by confirming the phenomenon of changes in the client's condition and interpreting the meaning through oral statements about the client's experience during AEDP-based counseling sessions.
