    This study examined the educational effect of a tutoring program for university students on the improvement of academic writing. The purpose and significance of the โ€œA+Report Tutoringโ€ program, a non-curricular program that has been operating since 2017 at K University, a four-year private university located in the province, was revealed. This program trained tutors to teach new students (tutees) who are inexperienced in writing reports the competence of report writing. The most important feature is mutual growth between the tutors by adopting the peer tutoring method.
    The tutoring education program was conducted in parallel with the actual tutor ing to secure the professionalism of the tutor and the homogeneity of the tutoring in the design process. In the 10-week program, basic grammar of writing, charac teristics of academic writing, and mock tutoring were covered. Tutor maintenance education is conducted every semester for students who are working as tutors to provide uniform tutoring.
    It was found that studentsโ€™ self-efficacy in academic writing increased significant ly with this program. Among them, confidence in procedural knowledge required for academic writing, such as citation and commentary, rose the most. On the other hand, items on the accuracy of sentences showed the lowest rise. Tutoring had a great influence on tutors as well; they were able to achieve self-growth by repeating the process of objectifying and reviewing texts through continuous tutoring.
