After the collapse of the sphere of realsocialism in the 1990s, the leftist melancholy was not a stranger to the progressive intellectuals. It was a situation that may be caused by the ¡°substantialized absolute identity¡± of the total revolution of labor liberation and human liberation. This absolute identity should be transformed in oder to establish a healthy relationship with reality. When the melancholy concept is reconstructed reflexions philosophically, it is summarized as ¡°inequality with the other, inequality with oneself, and inequality with oneself and its other within the closed self¡±. This structure has a structural similarity with Hegel¡¯s ¡°Unhappy consciousness¡± of the Phenomenology of the spirit(1807), and the catagory ¡°Diversity¡± of the logic of the science(1811). All of these call for the absolute power of the Negativity that is originally embedded in the Being for the transition to the next dimension. Then, as in borrowed Hegel, the dynamic of the ¡°movement¡± can not be obtained from any romantic mystified social system, or from the ¡°substantialized absolute identity¡± of reality. It should be an absolute negativity, such as human rights as the indivisible and irreducible ultimate unit, which may be achieved in this transformation of the leftist melancholy.
