생명윤�� 성찰을 위한 인간 몸의 인간학적 의미 고찰 (A study on the anthropological meanings of the human body for reflections in bioethics)

생명윤��, 인간의 몸생명윤�� 성찰의 주제가 되는 많은 행위들은 주로 생의학·생명공학 분야에서 인간의 몸에 대해 이루어지는 행위들이다. 그래서 이 행위들에 대한 윤리적 평가는 인간의 몸을 어떻게 바라보느냐 하는 관점에 따라 크게 달라진다. 이런 생명윤�� 성찰의 기초 작업으로서 인간의 몸에 대한 인간학적 고찰은 인간과 몸의 관계에 대한 고찰에서 이루어진다. 그 고찰에서 뚜렷하게 드러나는 두 가지 관점은 이원론적-기계론적 관점과 전인적-인격주의적 관점이다. 이원론적-기계론적 관점에서 몸은 인간의 정신세계왿� 완전히 분리되어 순전히 물질적이고 생물학적인 존재로 파악된다. 몸은 물질로 되어 있고 물질로서의 가치, 즉 도구적 가치만을 지니고 있으므로, 그것은 소유왿� 사용의 대상이 된다. 따라서 소유주의 자유로운 결정에 따라 신체의 일부분에 대한 변형·사용·양도·매매가 가능하다. 반면에 전인적-인격주의적 관점에서 인간은 단일한 존재이며 몸은 인간을 이루는 중요한 부분으로서 인간의 비물질적 차원과 하나를 이루고 있다. 그리하여 몸은 그 사람과 같은 운명을 가지며 같은 가치를 공유한다. 따라서 몸은 단순히 물질이나 도구처럼 다루어질 수 없고 오히려 온전한 인간의 가치를 인정받고 존중받아야 한다. 따라서 몸을 사용이나 매매의 대상으로 삼는 것은 용인되지 않는다. 인간을 존중하는 첫째 방식이 바로 그 사람의 몸을 존중하는 것이다. 그러므로 생명윤�� 분야에서 행해지는 여러 가지 행위들은 인간의 몸을 훼손하거나 사물처럼 다루는 일이 없이 전인적 관점에서 온전히 인간을 존중할 수 있는 방식으로 이루어질 필요가 있다., 이원론, 기계론, 인격주의

Many human acts as objects of bioethical reflections are mostly those conducted on the human body in biomedicine or biotechnology. Ethical qualifications on those acts highly depend on the perspectives on the human body. An anthropological study on the human body as basic considerations of reflections in bioethics can be realized in the study on the relation between human being and his or her body. Two contrasting perspectives exist in this field of study: dualist-mechanist perspective and holist-personalist perspective. In the dualist-mechanist perspective, the human body is considered as merely biological material, separated from spiritual dimension; since material body has only instrumental value, it can be used and owned as property; therefore the owner can freely decide to manipulate, use, give and trade his or her own body part. In contrast, in the holist-personalist perspective, a person is unitary being of which body is a constitutive part, united with spiritual dimension; the body shares the same destiny and value with the person; thus the body should not be treated as mere material or instrument, but should be recognized and respected in its human value; for this reason, it is unacceptable to consider the body as object of using or commercial trading. Respecting one's body is the first way to respect him or her. Therefore it is necessary that human acts in biomedicine and biotechnology need to be conducted in the way of respecting human person in holist perspective, without harming or treating human body as mere an object.
