The Munwihaeng was sent to console the return of the Lord of Tsushima and congratulate on birth of a son of the Lord. The party of Tsushima pressed the Munwiyokgwan(†–ο×g¹Ù) for omission of the statement to congratulate the birth of the son in the document(•øÆõ) of the Yaejoe(¶Y²Ü) but the Munwiyokgwan serenely explained the situation and their appeal was relieved. After diplomatic ceremony, both parties made their requests. The party of Tsushima wanted to purchase drugs that are interested by Dokukawa Bakuhu, requested to restore the suspended voyage of private ships, asked to elevate diplomatic level, and requested to move Waegwan(ÙÁð^) to Busancastle. The Munwiyokgwan explained or postponed answers to their requests but wanted Tsushima to mediate purchase of military materials and asked to relive the complaint on congestion of cotton. In the talk between the Lord faced the Munwiyokgwan, the Lord asked about the status of Joseon pressed by Qing Dynasty and, asserting that they might give external support, asked movement of Waegwan again. The Munwiyokgwan tried not to make any diplomatic mistake by vindicating the situation of Joeson reasonably. A Munwiyokgwan was sent in 1651 during a state funeral of Joeson but both parties conflicted in relation to the dresses of the diplomatic mission. The Munwiyokgwan said that they worn white official belts because they were in a state funeral but the party of Tsushima oppose saying that white official belts did not meet congratulatory ceremony. The party of Tsushima intended to clarify that the purpose of such Munwihaeng was the return visit to two times of envoys for the state funeral of King Injo and Inauguration of King Hyojong. The party of Tsushima raised the problem that Joeson merchants had a serious difficulty in payment in silver currency in the market of Waegwan and added the complaint in the quality of cotton. The Munwiyokgwan said that Gyeongsangdo¡¯s cotton in maximum and that, if there was any dissatisfaction concerned, the situation had to be understood.
