¡®NAMDO' is ¡®cultural place¡¯ going beyond space of administrative district. The purpose of the writing is to construct theoretical ground and to suggest an way on which present and tradition communicate and contact each other so that literary and artistic discourses can secure ¡®substantial totality¡¯. To this end, the author studied 'Chinese painting of the Southern School¡¯, ¡®Pansori¡¯, ¡®Siga(ÔŠ¸è, traditional poems)¡¯which are representative genres developed in NAMDO area.
Culture and arts in NAMDO have developed in the midst of antinomy of natural conditions and historical conditions. In the aspect, developmental applicability would be larger. ¡®Antinomy¡¯ would have a negative aspect of self-contradiction from traditional view but from cultural view, it is positive in that it becomes a motive where self-creation is available through self-development.
Chinese painting of the Southern School has ground of lyricism in painting. Pansori is available in exploration from narrative poetics aspect and rhetoric aspect. Siga in Honam area is available in exploration from lyric poetics and emotional poetics aspect. Through this, aesthetic meaning can be rich.
When culture has dynamic encounter with the arts, culture and arts could be a path that makes explore source of our life. We can still meet daily lives, life, culture and arts in a same area there. NAMDO area has kept heritage of quality that makes stand high on world cultural and artistic industry. Traditional arts of NAMDO includes ¡°Oriental thoughts¡± and ¡°Korean wisdom¡±, and ¡°aesthetic sense of NAMDO¡±. Method where tradition and present meet each other would be to realize ¡®to draw reverse side(ýŸÃæ)¡¯, ¡®techne(craftsmanship)¡¯, ¡®¨¦criture (complex writing)¡¯.
