Today, we can say that one of the easiest ways to lead public culture is a novel or a movie and that the theme handled by them is the reflection of a social aspect.
In this study, ¡¸My Man¡¹by Sakuraba Kazuki and ¡¸Eengyo¡¹ by Pak, Bum-Shin which have been written as novels and filmed will be compared.
The two works had similarities enough to be objects to be compared in the both countries in terms of material, styles and presentation method as well as composition and dramatization. In this study, deep desire caused by sadness of the existence of limited life which was shown consistently in the two works was investigated. The fatal taboo touching basic instinct which was suppressed in the frame of ethical society was also investigated. Thereby, the crack of a will which tried to stop between desire and taboo only to fail could be read. All of this process can be seen as a typical model of humans who can¡¯t get out from the ancient times through the present days. We could also see that incest and fundamental question about aging are related with an aspect of a solitary human living today. Through this work, it could be an opportunity to help understand each other between generations through literary exchange and sociocultural understanding of the both countries, Korean and Japan.
