This study focuses mainly on analyzing application characteristics as well as the rhetorical affects of repeated words of Libai��s poem from Tang Dynasty. Through the study, it was recognizable that his usage of repeated words had different characteristics compared to the other poets from Tang Dynasty as well as the poet Du Fu who was also an active poet at a similar time with Libai. Thus, Libai��s application of repeated word formed its own characteristics which differentiated his poem from all the other poets. The four vivid characteristics are, his choice of repeated words as well as the appearing frequency, realization(re-constructing) of classical style of poem which repeated word worked as an medium component, joint usage of numerals, and co-usage of re-appearing words. Furthermore, through the study, we have found out that his usage of repeated words brought tremendous amount of rhetorical affects to the poem. The rhetorical affects include, reinforcing theme consciousness, connecting factual object(scene) component with subjective component, and increasing vivid at-sight description. At the end of this paper, the readers can find out reasons and the importance of using repeated words in Libai��s poem and the characteristics which made his poem outstanding from other poets as well as the rhetorical affects which entailed by it.
