This article is a study on <Jachiga> belongs to Korea University. It is an unique version of Jachiga(or Jangggijeon)��s. Theses are stories of a pheasant cock which represents an obstinate male ego. Anyway, Jachiga deals with the hardship and issue of survival right of ordinary women facing a horrid reality in the second half of Joseon. It especially highlights the active intervention and consciousness as a writer of the authors that disclosed the economic destitution of ordinary women and the violence of the male-dominated society and advocated the fairness of remarriage. It is also characteristic with its active reflection of the locality of Gyeongsang Provinces. Reflecting the phases of the times and locality in such a realistic way, it implies a need for the multi-faceted understanding of the production, consumption, and enjoyment bases of its related works, gasas, novels, and pansoris.
It is required to raise discussions about the consciousness as a writer of the authors of its major versions and their phases of the times and locality through their full-scale work theories. When they offer some results, a clearer topographical map will be created for the enjoyment consciousness and base areas of the works.
