This thesis aimed to examine the trip of women to Geumgang Mountain. To this end, the period from the Goryeo Dynasty to the early 20th century was divided into three, and the case of women visiting at each period and the nature of the female subject were considered. During the Goryeo Dynasty, when Buddhist beliefs flourished, Geumgang Mountain was considered a ¡°sacred place¡± for Buddhism and became the object of pilgrimage. In the Joseon Dynasty, which suppressed Buddhism and revered Confucianism, there are few cases of women's visits that have surfaced this religious character. Hwang Jin-yi's anecdote shows that Gisaeng, who enjoyed relative freedom at a time when women's tours to Geumgang Mountain were extremely limited, began to appear as the main agents of the tour. In the late Joseon Dynasty, the imagination and envy of Geumgang Mountain appeared in the writings of a noblewoman, though it was almost impossible for women in the upper classes to visit Geumgang Mountain. Only Gisaengs as Mandeok, Okin, and Geumwon could visit and records could be remained. Among them, ¡°Hodongseorakgi¡± is significant as the first work to record a woman's trip to Geumgang Mountain directly based on her own experience. In the early twentieth century, women's group trips to Geumgang Mountain were active, and in particular, female students went on a school trip to expand the area of experience. Through the above discussion, it can be confirmed that there is a history of the Geumgang Mountain trip that women have continued, and that it is enriching the history of it.
