대학생 자기 소개서 쓰기 경향 분석 및 수업 방법 - 교육 대학껓 신입생들의 자기소개서를 중심으로 - (Analysis of Self-Introduction Writing Trends and Lesson Methods among College Students - With a focus on the self-introductions of freshmen at a teachers' college -)

본고에서 주목한 점은 교육대학 신입생들의 자기소개서 긿�쓰기 경향이다. 자기 소개서의 내용이 일정한 유사성을 지니는 이유는 대합 입학 당시 자기소개서 기준에 맞추어 글의 내용을 구성했기 때문이다. 그로 인해 신입생들의 자기소개서에는 개인에 대한 객관적 성찰 행위가 삭제되거나 개인의 개성적 측면이 나타나지 않은 경우가 많다. 현재 한국의 대학 긿�쓰기 교육은 다양한 형태의 긿�쓰기 방법이 논의되고 있다. 이러한 시점에 교육대학 학생의 작문 수업 역시 그러한 시대적 요구에 호응할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 학생들 스스로 자신의 긿�쓰기 현실을 인식하고 어떤 식으로 자신을 표현해 내어야 하는지에 대해 초점을 맞추어 보았다.
사전 교육 없이 대학 신입생들의 자기 소개서를 받아 보면 흥미로운 결과가 도출된다. 첫째, 자기 소개서의 핵심 내용이라고 할 수 있는 문제 해결 과정에 있어서 매우 유사한 행동방식들이 제시된다. 둘째, 자신의 모습이 자신의 실체왿�는 다른 방식으로 제시된다는 점이다. 자신의 구체적인 실제 모습을 돌아보지 않았기 때문에 많은 학생들이 유사한 형태의 자아를 표현해 낸다. 이는 표현된 자아이지 실제 자아의 모습이 아니라는 문제점이 있다. 뿐만 아니라 가족서술, 취미서술의 단순성이 나타나며 주제를 중심으로 묶이지 않은 키워드화 한 문단 배열의 문제도 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 개인의 독��성을 신장시키고 자기 반성적인 기회를 학생들에게 제공할 필요가 있다. 즉, 자신의 글과 다른 학생의 글을 비교하는 과정을 통해 자기 글에 대한 객관적 인식 단계를 부여하는 것이다. 이러한 수업 과정을 통해 학습자는 자기를 객관적으로 돌아볼 수 있으며 나아가 자신만의 독창적인 모습을 발견할 수 있게 된다.

This study focused on the writing trends in freshmen's self-introduction writing at a teachers' college. There are certain similarities in the content of self-introductions because the applicants organized the writing content according to the self-introduction criteria at the time of applying for the college, which explains why freshmen include no objective reflective actions upon themselves or personal individual aspects in many of their self-introductions. Today writing methods of various forms are discussed in writing education at Korean universities and colleges. It is time for composition courses to respond to those demands of the times at a teachers' college. This study thus focused on the students recognizing the reality of their writing themselves and their ways of expressing themselves.
Some interesting results are found in freshmen's self-introductions when they had no prior education: first, they present very similar behavioral styles in problem-solving processes, which are the core content of self-introduction; secondly, they present themselves in different ways from their actual selves. Not looking back on the real, specific aspects of themselves, many students tend to express their egos of similar form. The problem is that they are the expressed egos not real ones. Furthermore, there are problems with simplicity in their descriptions of their families and hobbies and with the paragraph arrangement not bound by topics and inclined toward keywords.
One of their solutions is to provide the students with opportunities to improve their originality and do some reflective thinking upon themselves. That is, they should be offered a chance to compare their writings with those of other students and thus perceive their writings in an objective manner. It is through such a lesson process that learners will be able to look back on themselves objectively and further discover their own original aspects in them.
