The purpose of this study was to select the subjects of Korean culture for the education of Chinese middle school students who can become the educators of Korean language or evangelists of Korean culture. In order to accomplish this study purpose, the survey of 50 middle school students in Tianjin was analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of multiple choice questions and short answer questions. The respondents selected popular travel destinations, local festivals, tourist attractions, and seasonal activities in Korea as the most interested and need information. The subjects for the education of Korean culture were categorized into knowledge and understanding of Korean culture and included the daily routine of Koreans, basic knowledge of Korean language, general understanding of Korea, and interest in Korean culture. The findings of requirement analysis showed the need for 1) education of Korean language and culture systematically linked to education in middle school, high school, and college; 2) instructional and learning materials that reflect the requirements of students; and 3) instruction and learning through mutual comparison of Korean language and culture and Chinese language and culture.
