The purpose of this study was to examine the implications of career guidance for university students expressed in the Analects of Confucius and obtain implications for career guidance for university students necessary for practical application in the college curriculum. This study was organized as follows by dividing into Confucius' view of humanity and career as expressed in the Analects of Confucius, the goals of career guidance for university students, and the main concepts of career guidance for university students. First, Confucius's basic viewpoint expressed in the Analects of Confucius was interpreted as a humanistic view of humanity that understands humans as purposive and social beings, and a self-transcendent view of vocation based on realistic and moral awareness. Second, the goal of career guidance for university students expressed in the Analects of Confucius was the result of reconceptualization as the realistic and moral value orientation of Confucius education resonated with the goal of modern career counseling. Third, the concept of career guidance for university students expressed in the Analects of Confucius emerged as a result of reconceptualization as the reflective and social value orientation of Confucius education resonated with the concept of modern career development. Summarizing the results of the study, the direction to guide the career paths of university students through the Analects of Confucius was to ¡®learn¡¯ ¡®properly¡¯, ¡®work¡¯ ¡®diversely¡¯, and ¡®construct¡¯ ¡®a big world¡¯. Through this study, as a result of discussing career guidance for university students from the perspective of Confucianism, we were able to gain insight that ¡®career¡¯ is ¡®the process of embodying saramdaum¡¯.
