The aim of this paper is to understand the language of Ji Seok-yeong's Eonmun(����). For this purpose I examined orthography, phonological and lexical aspect in Eonmun. As a result I could see three features as follows. Firstly, the orthography in Eonmun was inherited Modern-Korean orthography. I held up as the basis of this, the orthography of seven final consonant and the series of ??. However I could see the appearance of normative notation of ��??????��. And ��?�� was used in the notation of the Sino-Korean. Secondly, prescriptive sounds were presented in the notation of Sino-Korean. So it was not reflected positively the reality of the Sino-Korean's change. Thirdly, a lot of Sino-Korean words that were needed to understand everyday Korean language and classic were reflected. But a lot of Sino-Korean words that newly used after enlightenment started were reflected also. These Sino-Korean words are in regard to on new knowledge and concepts, science, modern civilization, schools, military, legal, political, medical, economic field etc. And there are contained a large number of Sino-Japanese word in these Sino-Korean words.
