This is a study on a possible direction and the meaning of the 13th WCC Conference which will be held in the year of 2013 in South Korea Busan. In my view, the conference will be a epochmaking moment in the history of ecumenical movement of WCC based upon Korea's unique place in the world through its religious pluralities and multiple spiritual activities.


In Busan conference, Christianity will be confronted for the first time in its history with civilization which affirms not only religiously but also politically equal position with its dialogue partner. This means the question of religious and cultural pluralities will become more seriously suggested and asked for the Western Christian church.


Korea is a core country of the East Asian Confucian civilization and has developed its main ideas to its highest degree. It performed that work in dialogue with other Asian religious traditions like Buddhism and Taoism. In the 20th century Korea encountered also Western Christianity, and cultivated it very richly like today.


In our postmodern world, Confucian religiosity draws attention owing to its secular religiosity that is religiously minimal but spiritually very abundant. It's core message is that everyone can become a sage through learning(ŒWÒÔÖÁÂ}ÈË).


In my view, traditional Christian faith, especially its fossilized christology can be reformed and revived through the encounter and dialogue with this Confucian spirituality, because the latter lays in the way of becoming a genuine person emphasis on practical learning of everyday's secular life, for example, filial piety, familial life, education, politics and economics etc.


I summarized this renewed spirituality as Korean feminist spirituality of Sanctity(Â}), Nature(ÐÔ) and Sincerity(Õ\).
