    This study explored the relations of individuality-relatedness and interpersonal competence to college students' psychological well-being by analyzing the data on the basis of the hypotheses constructed from existing research. Results from the survey to 225 college students are as follows.
    First, psychological well-being correlated positively with individuality, relatedness, and interpersonal competence. In addition, both individuality and relatedness had positive correlations with interpersonal competence.
    Second, when competing models were compared, the model with a better fit showed that relatedness only had an indirect effect through interpersonal competence on psychological well-being while individuality had both direct and indirect effects on psychological well-being.
    Third, among the variables affecting psychological well-being, interpersonal competence showed a relatively higher direct effect than other variables whereas relatedness had the highest indirect effect.
    In conclusion, the results suggest that we should pay attention to students' personal orientations toward self and others as well as their interpersonal competence in order to enhance college students' psychological well-being.
