This research aimed at investigating the dialect type and special expression of Eunjn Song Family, who resided in Daejeon region in the lexical aspect by researching their Korean old letters. There is few discussion so far on dialect aspect of Chungcheongdo dialect, a subordinate dialect of central region. Because there is few material of Korean language history reflecting the dialect of this region. Therefore, this research intended to investigate the regional dialect through other Eongan, differently from the existing materials. Eongan is more likely to display more dialect types, since it reflects orality. However, nevertheless Eongan materials have orality or dailiness, it is difficult to find the actual dialect type. Particularly, it is difficult to find the dialect aspect from the grammatical form such as the ending. Accordingly, this research intended to consider the dialect type of this region in the lexical level based on Eongan of Daejeon region and explain the relevant vocabulary in Korean linguistics. There are about 900 Korean letters confirmed in Chungcheongdo so far, including those that were not revealed. Among them, the number of Eunjin Song family's letters is 427, including those that were not revealed, biggest scale among the family letters so far. There are dialect vocabulary in Eunjin Song family's letters, such as ¡®??(goksyeok), ??(buye), ????-(daenggi-), ??(inje), ???(jasyeok), ????(haengnyeok)¡¯. It is characteristic that they are mainly found in the letters of the daughters-in-law of Eunjin Song family. Particularly, among them, ¡®?????¡¯(daenggi-) and ¡®???¡¯(jaseok) are related to Jinju Jeong family, accordingly, it can be Gyeongsang-do dialect type. The distinctive expressions of Eunjin Song family's letters are ¡®?????-¡¯(sokgeuraha-), ¡®????????-¡¯(samasamaha-), ¡®?????¡¯(ameudyorona), etc. These are rarely found in other Eongan materials. They can't be determined as dialect types, however they can be said the distinctive type of the family.
