This paper discussed Kang Eun-kyo's poetic world in terms of Buddistic ecology. The discussed contents are as follows.
First, Kang Eun-kyo shapes an 'Emptiness' world-view due to a sense of futility that originated from her own experience. The world of 'Emptiness' she recognized is nothingness that has potentialities which has nothing but can have anything. Thus this world-view is integrated with Buddhist's middle road idea.
Secondly, Buddhist's non-substantial ontology denies both substance and self, appreciating a n existence in a relational text. In the same context, 'Indramang' metaphor clearly shows complicated form of dependent arising. Through her work, we can understand Indramang's thinking in terms of dependent arising.
Thirdly, 'Compassion' is a practical morality to deal with the ecological crisis we faced. From the self identity experience learned from her work, we can understand the nature of Buddha existed in a subject and then go forward to compassion.
