    This study was designed to survey the effect of emotional intelligence on positive psychological capital, psychological well-being of nursing students, as well as to identify the relationship among them. We surveyed 243 nursing students at three different four-year-course college in J city, C city and S city. Data collection was conducted between April 1 and May 15, 2017. The data was analyzed using SPSS 23.0. This study shows that the significant factors influencing positive psychological capital of nursing students were emotional intelligence(ฮฒ=.54, p<.001) and satisfaction of major satisfaction(ฮฒ=.15, p<.001), voluntary of application motivation(ฮฒ=.15, p<.001) which account for 40.0% of the variance. It also shows that the significant factors influencing psychological well-being of nursing students were emotional intelligence(ฮฒ=.62, p<.001), voluntary of application motivation(ฮฒ=.15, p<.001) which account for 42.0% of the variance. As such, We identified that a emotional intelligence, positive psychological capital and psychological well-being were important factors of career adaptability and academic achievement of nursing students, and cultivating the qualities as a nurse. As a result, it is recommended to develop an education program for improving the degree of positive psychological capital and psychological well-being through the emotional intelligence.
