체육전공 고등학생의 신체상에 따른 자기수용과 내면화된 수치심이 사회불안에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Self-Acceptance and Internalized Shame on Social Anxiety according to Body Image in Physical Education High School Students)

The purpose of this study was as to examine the effects of self-acceptance and internalized shame according to the body image in physical education on social anxiety. 216 subjects were selected as subjects for the study by using the convenience sampling method among non-probability sampling methods in special-purpose high schools and general high schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Out of a total of 261 questionnaires, 199 copies were used for analysis, excluding those in which the responses were not sincere. For data analysis, the reliability of the scale was verified using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and descriptive statistics were performed on the collected data. Correlation analysis was performed to confirm the relevance of the variables. PROCESS macro 3.5 was used to check the effect of body image on social anxiety. PROCESS macro model 6 was used to verify the sequential mediating effects of self-acceptance and internalized shame. To the significance validation of the indirect effect, the bootstrapping method in which the number of samples was re-extracted to 10,000 was used. As a result of the study, First, the physical image of Physical education high school students and self-acceptance were negatively correlated with social anxiety and internalized shame and social anxiety showed a positive correlation. Second, it was found that self-acceptance was high in the group with high body image and low in internalized shame and social anxiety. Third, as a result of examining the sequential mediating effects of self-acceptance, internalized shame, and social anxiety according to the body image of physical education high school students, the body image had a significant effect on social anxiety through sequential self-acceptance and internalized shame and completely mediated it. It can be said that there is a full mediating effect.
