K��satsu(����, High plaque) is a kind of bulletin board that writes down the contents of the law(general law, basic law) for well-known to all. In order to publicize the law to the common people and inform the purpose of it, K��satsu-hall is installed in a place where common people gather to post K��satsu with the law written down. In particular, it was actively used as a means of publicize laws during the Edo period. In this paper, I paid attention to the K��satsu- education of Denarai-Juku(������), educational institution for common people, which included K��satsu sentences and made them familiar with the contents, not K��satsu as a bulletin board. This is to examine how education in Denarai-Juku was used for well-known to all of contents of the law of K��satsu.
First of all, I looked at a series of policies such as Tenp�� Reforms (1841-1843), which had a number of laws and regulations related to the daily lives of common people, and the recommendation of K��satsu as textbooks. In addition, with Denarai-Juku's teaching method using denarai(����) and lectures, and confirmed that suggested a somewhat effective method to be well-known to all of K��satsu. In addition, with the active publication of textbooks containing K��satsu sentences, an environment closer to the law was created for common people than bulletin boards made of wood. It can be said that K��satsu's function of thorough knowledge of the law rather functioned through the educational field called Denarai-Juku and their educational activities.
